Visual Description
Arthurella nudiseta is a fly characterized by a distinct, vibrant red coloration of the compound eyes. The thorax exhibits longitudinal dark stripes against a lighter background, and the abdomen displays a prominent, localized orange-colored patch on its dorsal surface. These features are observable in specimens documented in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset.[1]
Distribution and Taxonomy
Arthurella nudiseta was described by Albuquerque in 1954.[2][3] It has been noted in the literature that Synthesiomyia nudiseta (Wulp) has been recorded for the first time from the Buenos Aires province of Argentina.[4]
