Description
Argyra robusta is a species of long-legged fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It was described by C.W. Johnson in 1906.[2]
Visual Description
Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, specimens of Argyra robusta exhibit the characteristic body form of the family Dolichopodidae.[1] The specimens display slender, elongated legs and a metallic or reflective body coloration, which is typical for many members of the genus Argyra. Due to the nature of the preserved museum specimens, finer morphological details such as specific wing venation patterns or setal arrangements are not clearly resolvable in the available imagery.[1]
