Argyra nigriventris is a species of fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It was described by M.C. Van Duzee in 1925.[1]

Visual Description
Based on observations of the species, Argyra nigriventris exhibits the characteristic slender, metallic appearance common to many members of the family Dolichopodidae.[2] The body is typically elongated with a distinct metallic sheen, often displaying silvery or greenish-bronze reflections on the thorax and abdomen. The wings are generally clear or slightly infuscated, held in a characteristic position when at rest. The legs are relatively long and slender, often with fine bristles.[2]
