Visual Description
Argyra leucocephala is a species of long-legged fly within the family Dolichopodidae. The thorax and abdomen often exhibit a metallic or silvery sheen, which is a characteristic feature of the genus Argyra. Argyra leucocephala (Meigen, 1824) has been documented in various European regions. Recent studies have expanded the known range of the species, including the first record from the Balkan Mountains, specifically at the Byala River near Zaichar Village, Bulgaria.[2]
