Visual Description
Argyra argentina is a species of long-legged fly within the family Dolichopodidae. While specific morphological details are difficult to resolve from available citizen science imagery, members of the genus Argyra are generally characterized by their metallic, often silvery or greenish, coloration and slender body form.[1]
Distribution and Classification
Argyra argentina was described by Johann Wilhelm Meigen in 1824.[2] It is recognized as an accepted species within the genus Argyra.[2]
