Overview
Arenigena marcida (Coquillett, 1893) is a species of stiletto fly in the family Therevidae.[2] It was originally described under the name Psilocephala marcida by D.W. Coquillett.[2] The genus Arenigena was established by Irwin and Lyneborg in 1980 as part of a systematic revision of Nearctic Therevidae, aimed at creating a more robust generic framework based on synapomorphies.[3]
