Arctoconopa quadrivittata is a species of crane fly within the family Limoniidae. Based on observations of preserved specimens, the species exhibits the characteristic delicate, long-legged body form typical of the family. The wings are relatively narrow and appear to have distinct venation patterns, which are diagnostic features for identification within the genus Arctoconopa. The body coloration is generally muted, consistent with many limoniid species, often featuring brownish or greyish tones that provide camouflage in their natural habitats.[1]
Arctoconopa quadrivittata was originally described by the entomologist J. H. S. Siebke in 1872, under the basionym Erioptera quadrivittata. It is currently recognized as an accepted species within the genus Arctoconopa.[2]
