Aprionus dentifer is a species of wood midge within the family Cecidomyiidae. Biology and Classification
Aprionus dentifer was described by the entomologist B.M. Mamaev in 1965.[2] It is classified within the genus Aprionus, a group of wood midges belonging to the subfamily Lestremiinae. These midges are known for their association with decaying wood habitats, where their larvae typically develop.[2]
