Apotropina hirtoides is a species of fly within the family Chloropidae. While specific morphological traits cannot be resolved from the available dataset imagery, the species is recognized as a member of the genus Apotropina.[1]
History and Classification
Apotropina hirtoides was originally described by Curtis W. Sabrosky in 1951 as Lasiopleura hirtoides.[2] The species is currently accepted under the genus Apotropina.[2]
