Apophallus microsoma is a species of trematode belonging to the family Opisthorchiidae within the phylum Platyhelminthes.[1]
Adult specimens of A. microsoma exhibit a microscopic, oval-shaped body morphology with a distinct tegument and visible internal organ structures. The cercarial stage is characterized by an elongated, oval-shaped body and a long, slender tail, with internal features such as eye spots clearly discernible.
