Based on observations of preserved specimens, Apomorphomyia lygaeidophaga exhibits typical characteristics of the family Tachinidae. The specimens show a robust, bristly body structure, which is a common trait among tachinid flies. The thorax and abdomen are covered in distinct, dark macrochaetae (bristles). The overall coloration appears to be dark, with a metallic or dull sheen typical of many species in this family.[1]
Apomorphomyia lygaeidophaga is a species of fly in the family Tachinidae. It was described by the entomologist R.W. Crosskey in 1984.[2]
