This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
The visual data available for this species are drawn from image aggregations under the Aplysina gerardogreeni name (22 records in the TreeOfLife-200M view).[1]
(Direct image inspection was not possible in this run for some image URLs due to access restrictions; therefore, this section remains anchored to the available image record sources rather than providing fine-grained diagnostic morphology.)
GBIF lists Aplysina gerardogreeni (Gómez & Bakus, 1992) as an accepted species name.[2]
Microsatellite marker development and subsequent population-genetic analyses indicate that eastern Pacific populations of Aplysina gerardogreeni sampled from two Mexican localities (Mazatlán Bay and Isabel Island) are not panmictic. The study recovered two genetic clusters corresponding to the sampled localities, with moderate but statistically supported differentiation (reported overall FST = 0.108).[3]
NCBI records exist for Aplysina gerardogreeni under taxon ID 1171991 (e.g., nucleotide records associated with the organism name query).[4]
