Overview
Aplomera is a genus of flies belonging to the family Empididae.[2] The genus was described by Pierre-Justin-Marie Macquart in 1839.[3]
Visual Description
Based on observations of preserved specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, members of the genus Aplomera exhibit typical dipteran morphology.[1] The specimens display slender bodies with distinct wing venation characteristic of the family Empididae.[1] Due to the nature of the preserved museum specimens, finer morphological details such as specific setal patterns or coloration are difficult to resolve from the available imagery.[1]
