Visual Description
Apiocera aldrichi exhibits the characteristic elongated, slender body form typical of the family Apioceridae. The wings are clear and held in a characteristic position along the back when at rest. Apiocera aldrichi was described by R.H. Painter in 1938.[2] It is a recognized species within the genus Apiocera.[2]
