Based on observations of preserved specimens, Aphanotrigonum hungaricum exhibits the characteristic small, robust body form typical of the family Chloropidae.[1] The specimens display a dark, sclerotized cuticle with a generally matte or slightly micro-pubescent texture across the thorax and abdomen.[1] The head features relatively large, compound eyes positioned laterally, and the wings are clear with reduced venation, consistent with the diagnostic features of the genus.[1]
