Aphanotrigonum darlingtoniae is a species of fly in the family Chloropidae. It was originally described as Botanobia darlingtoniae by Jones in 1916.[1]

Visual Description
Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Aphanotrigonum darlingtoniae exhibits the characteristic body form of a small acalyptrate fly.[2] The specimens display a compact, sclerotized thorax and abdomen, typical of the family Chloropidae. The wings are clear and held flat over the abdomen when at rest, showing the reduced venation pattern common in this group.[2]
