Apatemyia
Apatemyia is a genus of flies in the family Tachinidae. It was described by Pierre-Justin-Marie Macquart in 1846.[1]

Visual Description
Based on observations of specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, members of the genus Apatemyia exhibit typical tachinid morphological characteristics.[2] The flies possess a robust body form with prominent, well-developed bristles (macrochaetae) on the thorax and abdomen, which is a diagnostic feature of the family. The wings are generally clear or lightly tinted, with distinct venation patterns characteristic of the order Diptera. The head features large, prominent compound eyes and well-developed antennae.[2]
