Visual Description
Anypodetus arachnoides is a species of robber fly (family Asilidae). Based on observations of specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, the species exhibits a robust, somewhat hairy appearance typical of many asilids.[1] The head is prominent with large, well-developed compound eyes. The body coloration includes brownish and yellowish tones, with distinct patterns of setae (hairs) covering the thorax and abdomen. The wings are generally clear or slightly tinted, with characteristic venation patterns visible in the wing structure.[1]
