Based on observations of preserved specimens, Antlemon servulum exhibits the characteristic slender, elongated body form typical of many fungus gnats in the family Keroplatidae.[1] The specimens display long, delicate legs and elongated antennae.[1] The wings are relatively long and narrow, often held in a characteristic position along the body in preserved states.[1]
Antlemon servulum (Walker, 1836) is a rare species of fungus gnat within the family Keroplatidae.[2] It has been documented across several European countries, including Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the Ukraine.[3] A specimen collected in 2009 in the National Nature Reserve (NPR) Stratená in the Gemer region of central Slovakia provided the first record of the species in that country.[3]
