Visual Description
Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, members of the genus Antipodromia exhibit a slender, elongated body form characteristic of many dance flies.[1] The specimens display prominent, well-developed wings and relatively long, thin legs.[1]
Overview
Antipodromia is a genus of flies in the family Empididae.[2] The genus was described by Adrian R. Plant in 2011 as part of his work on the Hemerodromiinae of New Zealand.[2] It is known to be found in New Zealand.[3]
