Based on observations of specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, members of the genus Antillonerius exhibit the characteristic elongated body form typical of the family Neriidae.[1] These flies possess notably long, slender legs and a slender abdomen. The head is often distinct, with prominent eyes positioned laterally. The overall morphology reflects their classification within the Neriidae, commonly known as cactus flies or banana stalk flies.[1]
