Anthrax albofasciatus is a species of bee fly characterized by a robust, hairy body typical of the family Bombyliidae. Biology and Classification
Anthrax albofasciatus was described by Pierre-Justin-Marie Macquart in 1834.[2] It belongs to the genus Anthrax, a highly speciose group within the subfamily Anthracinae.[3] The genus is distinct from the Anthrax albofasciatus group, which was excluded from a 1970 revision of New World Anthrax species.[3]
