Distribution and Ecology
Anthomyia quinquemaculata Macquart, 1839, is a member of the family Anthomyiidae, commonly known as root maggot flies.[2] Recent surveys in mainland Portugal have confirmed its presence across various regions, including Porto, Braga, Aveiro, Santarém, Faro, Bragança, and Vila Real, where specimens were collected using sweep-netting and hand-collecting methods.[2]
