Visual Description
Based on observations of museum specimens, members of the genus Anommonia exhibit typical sphaerocerid morphology.[1] The body is generally small and dark-colored, consistent with the family's common name, "lesser dung flies."[1] The specimens show a compact, sclerotized thorax and abdomen, with distinct wing venation patterns characteristic of the family.[1]
