Visual Description
Based on observations of specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, members of the genus Aneuria exhibit typical dipteran morphology.[1] The body is characterized by a compact, segmented structure with distinct head, thorax, and abdomen regions. The wings are membranous and transparent, showing characteristic venation patterns typical of the family Heleomyzidae. The legs are slender and jointed, adapted for locomotion. Due to the nature of the available photographic records, finer diagnostic characters such as specific setal patterns or minute antennal structures are not clearly resolved.[1]
