Based on observations of museum specimens, Anastrepha normalis exhibits a characteristic tephritid body form. The specimens display a yellowish-brown coloration across the thorax and abdomen. The abdomen is segmented and tapers posteriorly. The wings are membranous and typically feature the distinct, often brownish, pattern characteristic of the genus Anastrepha.[1]
Anastrepha normalis is a species of fruit fly in the family Tephritidae. It was described by Allen L. Norrbom in 2002 as part of his revision of the Anastrepha serpentina species group.[2]
