Anastrepha interrupta is a species of fruit fly within the family Tephritidae. Based on observations of museum specimens, the species exhibits characteristic tephritid morphology, including a distinct wing venation pattern and body coloration typical of the genus Anastrepha.[1]
Anastrepha interrupta was described by Stone in 1942.[2] Ecological interactions recorded for this species include associations with the plant Schoepfia schreberi.[3] Additionally, it has been documented as a host for the parasitoid wasp Doryctobracon anastrephilus.[3]
