General Information
Anapausis is a genus of flies in the family Scatopsidae, classified within the subfamily Psectrosciarinae [2]. The genus was described by Enderlein in 1912 [3]. It is recognized as an accepted genus within the family [4]. Taxonomic studies on the genus include a revision by Cook (1965a) and a study of Neotropical species by Amorim and Balbi (2006), which provided phylogenetic insights and descriptions of new species [2].
