Anabarhynchus tauricus is a stiletto fly. Based on observations of preserved specimens, the body exhibits a slender, elongated form characteristic of the family Therevidae. The thorax and abdomen are covered in fine, dense setae (hairs), which are typical for members of this genus. The coloration is generally muted, with brownish or greyish tones that provide camouflage. The wings are clear or slightly tinted, with distinct venation patterns typical of the order Diptera.[1]
