Visual Description
Amphineurus hudsoni is a species of crane fly. Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, individuals exhibit the characteristic slender, elongated body form typical of the family Limoniidae.[1] They possess long, delicate legs and wings that are often held in a characteristic position when at rest. The body coloration is generally brownish or yellowish, consistent with many other members of the genus.
Distribution and Status
Amphineurus hudsoni was described by Frederick Wallace Edwards in 1923.[2] It is recognized as an endemic insect of New Zealand.[3]
