Amphicosmus elegans is a species of bee fly (family Bombyliidae). Observations of specimens from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset reveal characteristic features of the genus.[1] The body is typically covered in dense, fine setae (hairs), which is common among many bombyliids. Amphicosmus elegans was described by D.W. Coquillett in 1891.[2] It is an accepted species within the genus Amphicosmus.[2]
