Amphibolia wilsoni is a species of fly within the family Tachinidae. Based on observations of museum specimens, the species exhibits a robust, bristly body typical of many tachinids. The thorax and abdomen are covered in dense, dark setae (bristles). The wings are generally clear or slightly tinted, with distinct venation patterns characteristic of the order Diptera. The head features prominent compound eyes and well-developed antennae.[1]
Amphibolia wilsoni was described by the entomologist S.J. Paramonov in 1950. The original description was published in the Annals and Magazine of Natural History as part of a review of the genus Amphibolia.[2]
