Description
Ampelomyia conicocoricis is a species of gall-inducing insect within the family Cecidomyiidae. It was described by Elsayed and Tokuda in 2019.[2] This species is associated with Vitis (grapevine) plants.[2]
Visual Description
Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Ampelomyia conicocoricis exhibits characteristics typical of gall midges.[1] The specimens appear as small, delicate flies with slender bodies and long, thin legs.
