Visual Description
Amobia signata is a fly characterized by a robust, greyish-black body typical of the family Sarcophagidae. Biology and Ecology
Amobia signata (Meigen, 1824) is a Palaearctic species.[2] It is commonly referred to as the "Mason-wasp Satellite Fly".[2] Like other members of the genus Amobia, the larvae are inquilinous, primarily associated with mud daubers and potter wasps (Hymenoptera: Sphecidae, Crabronidae, Vespidae: Eumeninae).[3]
