Visual Description
Members of the genus Ammothereva exhibit characteristic features of the family Therevidae, commonly known as stiletto flies. Observations of specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset reveal a slender, elongated body form typical of the family.[1] Key visible traits include large, prominent compound eyes that are often iridescent green in coloration.
