Visual Description
Amiota alboguttata is a small to medium-sized fly, characterized by a dark brown to black-brown body with distinct white markings.[2] Observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset show the species exhibits a generally dark, robust body form with characteristic white spots or patches, particularly on the thorax and abdomen, which are consistent with the genus's typical appearance.[1] The frons can appear faintly pollinose to silvery reflective.[2]
