Members of the genus Amaurosoma are small flies typical of the family Scathophagidae. General Information
Amaurosoma is a genus of flies in the family Scathophagidae, first described by Becker in 1894.[2] The genus is also known by the synonym Nanna.[3] As part of the Scathophagidae family, they are often referred to as dung flies, although the biology of Amaurosoma species can vary.[4]
