Amauromyza morionella is a small fly belonging to the family Agromyzidae. Based on observations of museum specimens, the species exhibits a generally dark, often blackish, body coloration typical of many members of the genus. The body is compact, with characteristic dipteran features including a single pair of wings and prominent compound eyes.[1]
Amauromyza morionella has been documented interacting with plants in the family Lamiaceae, specifically Ballota nigra and Marrubium vulgare.[2]
