Alyssomyia quinquemaculata
Alyssomyia quinquemaculata is a species of robber fly in the family Asilidae. It was described by the entomologist J.N. Artigas in 1973.[1]

Visual Description
Based on observations of preserved specimens, Alyssomyia quinquemaculata exhibits characteristic features of the family Asilidae.[2] The specimens display a slender, elongated body typical of many robber flies, with prominent, well-developed eyes and a robust thorax. The wings are clear and extend along the length of the abdomen. The legs are relatively long and equipped with bristles, which are common adaptations for predatory behavior in this family. The coloration appears to be predominantly muted, consistent with many species in the genus.[2]
