Description
Alyssomyia brevicornis (Philippi, 1865) is a species of robber fly within the family Asilidae. It was originally described by R. A. Philippi under the name Clavator brevicornis [3]. The genus Alyssomyia was established by Hull in 1962, with A. brevicornis designated as the type species [2].
The species is classified within the tribe Stenopogonini [2].
