Description
Alpinosciara subtrivialis (Pettey, 1918) is a species of fungus gnat within the family Sciaridae. It was originally described under the name Neosciara subtrivialis.[2]
Visual Description
While specific morphological traits are difficult to resolve from the available dataset imagery, members of the genus Alpinosciara generally exhibit the characteristic appearance of dark-winged fungus gnats. Observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset indicate that specimens are typically small, slender-bodied flies with delicate wings and long legs, consistent with the general morphology of the family Sciaridae.[1]
