Visual Description
Members of the genus Allophylopsis are small flies. Observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset indicate they possess a distinct, yellowish-brown thorax that contrasts with a darker, brownish-grey abdomen.[1] The wings are generally translucent with a brownish tint, and the eyes are reddish in coloration.[1]
General Information
Allophylopsis is a genus of flies within the family Heleomyzidae.[2] The genus was described by Lamb in 1909.[2]
