Allognosta pleuralis is a species of soldier fly in the family Stratiomyidae. It was described by Maurice T. James in 1969, based on specimens collected in the Philippine Islands during the Noona Dan Expedition.[2]
The available dataset images for Allognosta pleuralis consist of preserved museum specimens.[1] Due to the nature of these specimens, detailed morphological traits such as live coloration or fine setal patterns are not clearly resolvable. The specimens exhibit the general body form characteristic of the genus Allognosta, including a relatively slender abdomen and the wing venation patterns typical of the subfamily Beridinae.[2]
