Visual Description
Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, members of the genus Allodromia are small flies typical of the family Hybotidae.[1] They exhibit a slender body form with relatively long, thin legs. The wings are generally clear and held in a characteristic position over the abdomen when at rest. The thorax is often robust, and the head features prominent eyes that occupy a significant portion of the cranial surface.[1]
Classification
Allodromia is a genus of flies in the family Hybotidae, first described by Smith in 1962.[2]
