Visual Description
Allodiopsis maculosa is a small fly characteristic of the family Mycetophilidae. Observations of specimens from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset reveal a slender, elongated body typical of fungus gnats.[1] Key visible traits include long, thin legs and wings that extend beyond the abdomen. The thorax is arched, and the overall coloration is generally brownish or yellowish, consistent with many members of the genus.[1]
