Description
Allodiopsis is a genus of fungus gnats in the family Mycetophilidae, first described by the entomologist Risto Tuomikoski in 1966.[2]
Visual Description
Members of the genus Allodiopsis are small, delicate flies typical of the family Mycetophilidae. Observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset reveal that these insects possess slender, elongated bodies and long, thin legs characteristic of fungus gnats.[1] The wings are generally clear or lightly patterned, and the thorax is often arched.[1]
