This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, members of the genus Alloborborus exhibit typical sphaerocerid morphology.[1] These small flies are characterized by a compact body form and dark coloration.[1] Visible structures include well-developed wings and legs adapted for their environment.[1]
The genus Alloborborus was described by Duda in 1923.[2] Within this genus, Alloborborus pallifrons (Fallén, 1820) is a well-documented species.[3] This species is known to develop in horse dung on pastures and is distributed across the temperate and northern regions of the West Palaearctic.[3]
