Visual Description
Alliopsis conifrons is a species of fly within the family Anthomyiidae. As with other members of the genus Alliopsis, individuals are typically small to medium-sized flies. Due to the limitations of available photographic records, specific diagnostic morphological traits such as setal patterns or precise wing venation cannot be definitively resolved from the current dataset imagery.[1]
Taxonomy and Classification
Alliopsis conifrons was originally described by the entomologist J.W. Zetterstedt in 1845 under the basionym Aricia conifrons.[2] It is currently recognized as an accepted species within the genus Alliopsis.[2]
