Visual Description
Aldrichiomyza agromyzina is a species of fly within the family Milichiidae. Due to the limitations of the available museum specimen imagery, specific morphological details such as fine setation or wing venation patterns cannot be definitively resolved. The specimens appear as small, dark-bodied flies, consistent with the general habitus of the family.[1]
Biology and Classification
Aldrichiomyza agromyzina was described by the entomologist Friedrich Hendel in 1911.[2] It was originally described under the name Aldrichiella agromyzina.[2] As a member of the family Milichiidae, it belongs to the superfamily Carnoidea.[3]
