Visual Description
Agromyza pulla is a small fly typical of the family Agromyzidae. Based on observations of preserved specimens, the species exhibits a generally dark, often blackish or brownish coloration characteristic of many members of the genus. The body is compact, with a structure typical of acalyptrate flies, featuring a distinct head, thorax, and abdomen. The wings are generally clear or slightly infuscated, with the characteristic venation of the Agromyzidae, including a closed discal cell and a subcostal vein that typically fuses with the radius before reaching the costa.[1]
Ecology
Agromyza pulla is recognized as a host for certain parasitoid wasps. Specifically, it has been recorded as a host for the pteromalid wasp Miscogaster hortensis.[2]
